Refuse collection

Refuse collection takes place in Pagus Soham on Tuesdays, with general waste and recyclables collected on alternate weeks. Thus it was that as I walked past my favourite willow tree one morning I was aware of the collection going on in the village, as it can be quite noisy.

Bins are put out on the road waiting for collection.

It takes only a couple of seconds ...

... and they're off ...

... and peace and quiet return to the quiet village by-roads.
