Lambing this year

Because of the Schmallenberg virus which has arrived in the U.K. from the Continent this year, many fields which are normally full of lambs are empty this year. The only lambs I've come across in our area are these rare breed sheep (Jacob's sheep?) which were basking in the sun with their mothers today, enjoying a respite from the rain we've had over the last few days.
