The Farm

This is not the most attractive place in Pagus Soham. In fact, the reverse is true of this rather derelict office farm yard which has had a chequered history in the time I've been a resident in the village. The chains across the entrance were put up a short while back after the Dale Farm evictions, but they don't appear to have been necessary, in the event. The site is now subject to a planning permission application for six houses, of which at least two are to be "affordable". All very well, but as similar developments go up in villages across the whole region, there is a real concern that services and infrastructure simply will not cope. NIMBY? Dead right!
