Cherries and Escalonia

These young red cherries look promising, but most of them go to the birds. Meanwhile Escallonia 'Peach Blossom' is doing itself proud at our back door. It's a very rewarding shrub, thriving in poor soil and needing no attention apart from the occasional cutting back when it threatens to block up the door!
