Around the Village

Growing in the shelter of a garden wall, Crocosmia provide a warm splash of colour along the road.
Heading out of the village towards Kettleburgh.
A secluded footpath running parallel to the main road.
Modern telecommunications in the early days were always provided above ground, with these wires running to different houses.
A spider's web glistens in the sun.

The fields which were harvested a few days ago are now baking in the August sunshine.

Brambles and young sloe trees vie with each other for a place in the sun.
Late afternoon sunshine streams dramatically through these clouds as seen from Wriggle Street.

A beautifully kept thatch house in Wriggle Street.
Perhaps one day this barn conversion will be the pride of the village, but it has been several years in the making.  Not a pretty sight in the mean time.
